Sister missionaries sang as they walked, and walked, and walked, and walked…

Hola everyone!! So as you can tell by the title… this week was filled with a TON of walking!! I think I walked like 10 miles everyday haha!

This friday, we went to a pueblo we have in our area called Tepatlaxco. It’s far away, so we have to take a bus to get there. Well we walked a ton in the pueblo looking for some directions that we had. When we had to go back, we got on the bus again. But when we were going to get off, the bus didn’t stop. Since it was filled with people we were shoved in the back, and couldn’t get to the front in time to get off. So we got off at the next stop, but it was pretty far away. They let us off on the side of the freeway, and we asked a lady how to get back to where we were supposed to get off. She told us that it was pretty close and we could get there by walking. We took her advice and started walking along the side of the freeway. But we walked FOREVER! It was SO NOT close. We walked for over half an hour! Not sure how many miles, but by the end of it, my scalp got sunburnt hahaha! We wanted to die haha. The whole day we were running because all the walking made us late to the appointments haha! I can honestly say that I slept like a rock that night!

But other than all the walking we did, we had a great week. We are seeing a lot of progress with the familiy of 5 I had talked about, the Fernandez Family!! This week the Mom, Dad, and their 2 daughters came to church with us! The girls are 11 and 12 years old, and they really like the church! The son (15 years old) is on vacation with one of his uncles, so he hasn’t been able to come to church. But the rest of the family is really progressing. They love reading the Book of Mormon. We leave them a chapter to read, and they read 3 or 4 haha!! They have seen real blessings in their family, and they are progressing nicely! Please pray for them!

We also saw another miracle with another investigator we have. Her name is Guadalupe and she is a referral from her daughter, who is a member and lives in Merida, Mexico. Her daughter gave the missionaries the information of her mom almost over a year ago, and they have been teaching her off and on. Her progress has been really slow because we only see her once a week, and she has never attended church in that whole year. She likes learning about the church, but she says she never wants to join a church. Well we are teaching her, and every week we invite her to church, but she never comes because she is busy. But this week we had a really good lesson with her. We talked about the Book of Mormon, and she asked us how we knew that the book of mormon was true. We were able to share our experiences and our testimonies, and at the end of the lesson, we left her the homework to ask her daughter how she knew that the book of mormon was true. We left, but never thought that she would come to church. Well lo and behold, 5 minutes before sacrament meeting started, guess who walked in??? HERMANA GUADALUPE!! I was so surprised and soo happy! I think she liked it, because during the talks she kept nodding her head like she was in agreement with what the speakers were saying haha! What a miracle!!

Raul and Irma are doing well! Raul invited his sister to be taught by the missionaries!! She lives in Cholula (Puebla South Mission), but we talked to her on the phone and gave her information to the missionaries there! So we are really excited about that!

That’s about all I have to say! I hope y’all are doing well!!
